2020 new car launches

2020 is set to be a bumper year for new car launches with a wealth of new models on their way to showrooms in the new 12 months.

Here are some of the highlights we are looking to showcase in Hendy showrooms this year.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

For the first time in 55 years, Ford is expanding the Mustang line-up with the all-electric Mustang Mach-E joining the Mustang sports coupe, convertible and special editions, featuring an all-new infotainment system and connected vehicle technology.

When it arrives in late 2020, Mustang Mach-E will be available with standard and extended-range battery options with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive powered by permanent magnet motors. Equipped with an extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive, Mustang Mach‑E has a targeted pure-electric driving range of more than 370 miles according to the World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). In extended-range all-wheel drive configurations, Mustang Mach-E is targeting 337PS (248kW) and 565Nm of torque.2

Ford also will offer a special performance version. The Mustang Mach-E GT is targeting
0-62mph acceleration in less than five seconds,2 as well as an estimated 465PS (342kW) and 830Nm of torque.

Honda e

Developed with a focus on simplicity in design and usability, the Honda e will meet the needs of modern urban lifestyles through seamlessly integrated connected technologies and exceptional driving dynamics.

The car will have a Side Camera Mirror System that replaces conventional side view mirrors with compact cameras, providing live images to two six-inch screens inside the vehicle. The camera technology, a first in the compact segment, brings significant benefits for styling, safety, aerodynamics and refinement.

The Honda e is equipped with a high-power electric motor available with two power outputs of 100 kW (136ps) or 113kW (154ps). The 35.5kWh battery is one of the most compact in its class yet delivers a range of up to 136 miles from a single charge, perfect for every day urban commuting. A fast-charging capability also allows recharge to 80% capacity in 30 minutes. On the road, the car delivers a responsive and fun experience, with the powerful electric motor driving the rear wheels for a sporty and connected feel.
