Hendy customers in Dorset and Devon were among the first in the country to see the brand-new sports car from Lotus with the unveiling of the Emira at Hendy Lotus in Poole and Exeter.

Hendy’s Lotus Poole head of business Chris Amey said those at the launches had been impressed with the Lotus Emira V6 First Edition which will retail at just under £76,000.

“It was great to be able to showcase this incredible new car to invited guests in person rather than a virtual launch,” said Chris. “The feedback from customers was extremely positive and we have already taken the first orders for the new car. This car has captured the imagination of existing Lotus owners and those looking at a Lotus for the first time.”

Lotus executive director of marketing Simon Clare and UK sales manager Scott Walker joined the Hendy team for the unveiling in Poole and outlined some of the key features of the new car.

Simon said the unveiling of the Emira marked the start of a new journey for Lotus and said he was delighted to be able to show Hendy customers the new car. He described the Emira as one of the most beautiful cars in the world.

The Emira is an all-new mid-engine premium sports car which Scott said has attracted unprecedented demand since its launch. He said it is the first car from Lotus to truly be an everyday car and that the V6 First Edition is the most accomplished car ever made by Lotus.

The First Edition comes in one of six vibrant paint colours incuding Seneca Blue – which was seen at the car’s unveiling.
