Hendy makes key appointment in Performance division

Hendy Group has appointed a new general manager to head up its Hendy Performance division.

John Haylett has been promoted to the role having worked with Hendy in Dorset.  John says he is looking forward to expanding the Hendy Performance division and appealing to a wider audience.

“Hendy Performance already has a great reputation for niche performance cars, specialist modifications and performance parts but we are now looking to appeal to drivers with more mainstream models,” said John.

“We will be hosting more events at the workshops in Hampshire but also more off-site meetings and offering performance upgrades and servicing for a wider range of cars.”

John has worked in the motor trade for more than 26 years and says he’s thrilled to be joining the Hendy Performance team having previously been a customer.

“I have a Mustang GT and a 1992 Camaro Z28 which have been looked after by Hendy Performance, so I have first-hand experience of the excellent team here,” he said.

John’s appointment comes at a busy time for Hendy Performance which recently joined forces with former Grand Prix driver and TV presenter Tiff Needell who is now an ambassador for the brand.

Hendy is also supplying vehicles to Thruxton Motorsport Centre in a partnership which will see a range of Ford cars used for its driving experiences and on race days.

“This is an exciting time to be involved with Hendy Performance and this year is really shaping up to be a busy one for us.”
