Planning permission granted for Hendy Group expansion plans in Eastleigh

Hendy Group is set to invest in new dealership facilities in Eastleigh following approval this week of plans for a brand-new development.

Eastleigh Borough Council has given the go-ahead for the plans which will see Hendy Group build two new dealerships in St George’s Way – adjacent to its Villeneuve Way Honda, Mazda and Kia dealerships and close to its successful FordStore.

Work is due to start on the new development in 2022 with completion expected in early 2023

Around 50 people will be employed at the new facility – many of these new roles created by the investment.

Paul Hendy, Hendy Group chief executive said the planning permission was a great vote of confidence in Hendy as a valuable employer in the borough and reinforces the group’s commitment to the area.

“We are delighted to begin 2022 by putting our ongoing expansion plans into action,” said Paul. “This new development will transform what is currently unused land to provide valuable employment and enhance our automotive offering locally.”

The new dealership will provide space for 18 new vehicles in the showroom together with 84 used vehicle display spaces.
